The Dresden Titans released you and American Randal. Do you feel it was the right decision to release it´s two best players so late in the season?

To the club it was the right decision to release the team’s two best players.

When you came out of training camp this season and somebody had told you on the eve of the first game that the team would only have 2 wins by late January and be the door mat of the league what would you have thought?

I would think they’re crazy, I honestly felt our team was loaded with hard working young talented kids that were ready to win.

Would you still be on the team now and where would the journey of the club gone the last three months had it been able to win those tight games at the start?

I think so, things would be a lot different with wins, we as a whole would be more comfortable playing and not a situation where you’re feeling so much pressure and tension from the coach and front office.

After the 91-83 victory against Trier something must of happened? All of a sudden the Dresden Titans not only lost games, but lost badly and usually with double digits and more. Were you ever able to understand what happened to the Dresden Titans after that?

No, teams always gave us their A game every night, they didn’t want to lose to a last place team in the league for one and two a newly promoted team with less experience in the league.

What do you believe effected the team most with every new loss? Did the constant losing effect the team mentality so much that they were doomed to having to lose?

I think the losses helped and hurt them, helped to show them their weaknesses and where we needed to work harder and hurt us because we’d work on things and still come up short.

The club liked to score, score score, but didn´t defend well enough. Was this the wrong the strategy to be able to win games in the German pro A?

With that mentality you can win but you can’t have an off scoring night and must execute more than less.

Former head coach Steven Clauss stuck with this play, but it didn´t result in any more wins. Was removing Steven Clauss the right decision? Do you believe the management should have given him more time?

I feel as if Clause was a great coach but when pressure build on a club you’re forced to make a decision and in the Club´s eyes it was right to let Clause go.

The management then removed Clauss and brought in Liam Flynn, but nothing has really changed as the losing continued. Why do you feel wasn´t he team able to make it over the hump and start winning?

Winning doesn’t happen overnight. He was new to the team and the team was new to him. It’s his first head coaching job and he was still learning as we were learning. It could be a tough task for anyone .

How positive were you after the win against the Hamburg Towers that that might have been the turn in the season? Unfortunally the team continued to lose the next three games including the 96-67 wipeout against Nurnberg where they led 56-27 at halftime.

I’m always confident in my team night in and night out. No matter who we’re playing.

Didn´t a first half performance against Nurnberg where the team was down by 29 points clearly show that the team just isn´t mentally ready to play?

No that shows maybe they could’ve got off to a hot start and hit many shots or could’ve had a great defensive and offensive night.

You averaged 11,1 ppg, 6,9 rpg, 1,1 apg and 2.3 blks in 10 games. How pleased were you with your rookie performance? I

I am somewhat pleased, I feel as if I showed MUCH growth from college defensively and offensively and that I can score and be an offensive threat which wasn’t my focus in college.

You had injury woes and never had a real chance to show your abilities. Do you feel like the Dresden Titans gave up on you?

No, I don’t think they gave up, they brought in a big man during my injury and allowed me to heal, despite being rushed back before my return date and having to play many minutes in win versus Hamburg on a not healed ankle.

What did you learn from this experience with the Dresden Titans? Do you believe that you gained anything positive from it?

I learned that the professional level is all about each player doing his job and winning teams have specific pieces to a whole and not just pieces where you have to do everything ok as opposed to doing one or two things great and also that adversity really does show you people’s true character.

Your teammate Randal Holt was also released. He had a lot of injury woes. Do you feel that he will be able to rebound and what will you always remember most about his play and character?

I will always remember him for playing with a chip on his shoulder knowing that night in night out he went out there and showed no matter his size he was a scared of no body and he had heart and a strong passion for the game.

What is the next step for Jervon Pressley? Will you sit out the season now or hope to find a new team as quickly as possible?

I was blessed flown by the Titans directly to my new team in 1st league Slovakia.

James Harden seems to be lost in the shuffle with the extreme great stats of Russell Westbrook, but where does the Houston Rocket stand at the moment in the best point guard debate this season?

That’s a tough on. James Harden is looking GGGOOOOODD at that PG spot!!!

What was the last movie that you saw?

Just got done watching Saw II.

Thanks for the chat Jervon.
